How will I know if I have a miscarriage?

The body start showing certain symptoms during a miscarriage. The main sign is vaginal bleeding, which can vary from very light bleeding to heavy bleeding. Other symptoms are severe pain, abdominal cramps.

You may also experience weakness, severe back pain, contractions, blood clots or tissues passing from vagina. In a few pregnancies, miscarriages can take place without any visible symptom. A complication of miscarriage is septic miscarriage, in which an infection occurs in the uterus. Signs of this include chills, fever, foul-smelling vaginal discharge and lower abdominal tenderness.

The miscarriage can be confirmed by a pelvic exam, ultrasound, blood tests. In case a woman encounters any sign of miscarriage, they should immediately seek medical attention.
