What is Rick Simpson oil?
Rick Simpson Oil (RSO) is a cannabis oil that can be taken on its own or mixed into food and drinks. RSO is high in tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) which is the main psychoactive chemical in marijuana.
Can Rick Simpson oil cure cancer?
No evidence confirms Rick Simpson oil cures cancer. It is not clear whether Rick Simpson oil can kill cancer cells and prevent the formation of newer ones. We found a book named Rick Simpson Oil – Nature’s Answer for Cancer which clearly states that cannabis oil only reduces the extent of painful symptoms.

Dr. Sarthak Moharir, Consultant Radiation Oncologist at HCG Cancer Centre, Vadodara, informs “Marijuana-based medication is not a part of any modern medicine regimen for any cancer treatment that I know of”. He further adds “We do not have proper research that prove whether cannabis cures cancer. Cannabis products like Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) may help with cancer pain and chemotherapy induced nausea. But this should not make cancer patients consume cannabis without consulting a specialist.”
Can cannabis or cannabis oil cure cancer?
No studies suggest cannabis or cannabis oil can cure cancer completely. The use of cannabis to cure cancer has become interestingly popular among people who like self-medication. However, cannabis is illegal in many countries, including India.
