Fact Check

Is twitching broccoli a Bill Gates’ lab-grown product?

No, twitching broccoli is not a Bill Gates’ lab-grown product. We researched and found that the video referred to is a piece of art created by a video creator, not a real product.

A simple Google reverse image search led us to the Instagram profile of the individual who created the video. The creator, Russel Cameron, is known on Instagram by the handle providingforthecommunity. We even found the claimed video there with the caption ‘3 steps to a happy healthy well adjusted Broccoli. #reels #reel #iinsta #instagood #instagram #labfood #broccoli #labbroccoli #instagramreels #instareel’. Moreover, we also found several similar videos on his Instagram handle.

We have earlier debunked similar claim such as Bill Gates’ genetically modified mosquitoes are causing malaria, but that is not right. There is also a fake idea going around that says Bill Gates planned a pandemic outbreak for 2025, but that is not true either. One more claim states that Bill Gates wants to control the population providing no substantial supporting evidence.
