No. The government and pharma companies are not hiding anything because researchers are still unable to find the cure for all cancers.
Cancer is scary, and many lives have been affected by its devastating reach. It is difficult to see loved ones suffering from cancer every day. The agony can make people believe that they are misled by the available cancer treatments.
However, there is no conspiracy because cancer is a general term for more than 200 diseases that can be fatal. So, it is difficult to find a single treatment for these diseases.
It is not easy for the government to fund research for each cancer that supports all the negative results. Also, pharma companies will not have much benefit from keeping the cure of cancer to themselves. Still medicial science is doing its best to develop new methods to detect and treat cancer better.
A study analysed the likelihood of conspiracy theories through mathematics. The study shows that big pharma companies are not involved in a conspiracy. If they had been involved, there would be 714,000 people who would know something. The study claims that these many people would spill the beans within 3.17 years.
Although the growth is slow, cancer research is improving day by day. Testicular cancer, thyroid cancer, prostate cancer, melanoma and early-stage breast cancer were not curable before but now can be done with available treatments.
