Maybe. Some studies suggest that patients with high blood pressure or hypertension are at an increased risk for nosebleeds. There has been a lot of debate around the correlation between epistaxis (nosebleed) and hypertension.
One study found that people who have hypertension have a greater risk of nosebleeds as compared to people with normal blood pressure. Another study suggested that hypertension is not usually the cause of a bloody nose. However, it can make your nose to be more susceptible to damage and nosebleeds harder to control. The American Heart Association mentions nosebleeds as a symptom of an extremely high blood pressure called hypertensive crisis. Hypertensive crisis is when systolic blood pressure rises to 180 mm Hg or higher and/or diastolic blood pressure rises to 120 mm Hg or higher.
