He is a Regius Professor of Medicine at the University of Oxford, specializing in immunology. His distinguished career boasts multiple honors. Bell engaged in discussions regarding the development of COVID-19 vaccines during the pandemic.
The interviewer, Jon Snow from Channel 4 News in Britain, conducted the interview showcased on Instagram.
Despite Bell’s assertion that “These vaccines are unlikely to completely sterilize a population,” a misleading post suggested he claimed COVID vaccines aimed to sterilize humans and reduce population, taken out of context from the interview. Bell clarified he referred to ‘sterilizing immunity,’ a term in public health denoting prevention of virus spread, not human fertility.
