The satisfaction that patients get post treatment is the best thing which cannot be explained in words.
When is a patient easy to treat?
There is no such scenario as difficult or easy to treat the patient. We need to understand the problem through which patient is going and give treatment accordingly.
When is a patient difficult to treat?
As I said previously, this completely depends on the state that the patient is in. If we try to understand the root cause of the patient’s concern, then we can treat them accordingly.
How helpful is it to the treatment course, if the patient is knowledgeable about the treatment procedure, benefits, risks etc.?
It is easy to explain the patient about the nuances of the treatment procedure if they have some prior knowledge about it.
How can a patient improve their knowledge about the treatment procedure?
In my opinion, it is better that the patients do not refer to sources on the internet as it does not provide complete information and confuses the patient. It is always better to consult your doctor and discuss with them in detail and clear your doubts.
How does medical misinformation act as a problem in the overall treatment procedure?
Medical misinformation is quite dangerous. It can also become life threatening for some patients as they can get confused or ill-informed due to misinformation.
A few advice that you always give to your patients…
I always advise my patients to discuss with their doctors about their doubts instead of trying to refer to unreliable information available on internet. And also, I advise them to opt a healthy lifestyle.
