Vitamin D plays a key role in improving the sexual health of both men and women. As per a study published in the Journal of Clinical Endocrinology, men with adequate Vitamin D levels have more testosterone than those with Vitamin D deficiency. Another research published in the Journal of International Urology and Nephrology states that women with sexual dysfunction had Vitamin D deficiency. Low levels of Vitamin D can hurt the sexual health of men and women.

The levels of testosterone and estrogen not only affect the sex drive but also have huge impacts on the mood. It may lead to depression and anxiety among men and women. Sunlight is the best source from where the body can get Vitamin D, however, there are many food sources and supplements which can supply the required amount of Vitamin D to the body.
