Maybe. There is no cure for diabetes right now. However, scientists across the world are doing researches to find a cure. With worldwide research going on, it does not seem impossible to find a cure in the future. The British Diabetic Association, operating as Diabetes UK is doing life-changing research for type 1 and type 2 diabetes.
In type 1 diabetes, insulin-producing beta cells in the pancreas are destroyed by the immune system. The scientists are working on curing type 1 diabetes. They’re aiming to develop and test treatments called immunotherapies that target the immune system to stop it from destroying beta cells. Diabetes UK study is called DiRECT, short for Diabetes Remission Clinical Trial, and it could completely change the way type 2 diabetes is treated in the future.
