How to reduce body heat?

There is no best way of reducing body heat. It is first essential to understand the reason behind excessive body heat and then find a solution for the reason. The potential cause of body heat can be a hot environment, overexposure to the sun, exercise, perimenopause or menopause, hyperthyroidism, wearing tight clothes, eating spicy food, neurological disorders, etc.

Some medications such as beta-blockers, amphetamines, cocaine, methamphetamines, etc., block the ability to get rid of excess heat. In Ayurveda, Pitta dosh is often linked with hot flashes. The available literature has shown that pitta dosh increases with improper diet, exposure to chemicals, excessive sun exposure, stress, no rest, consuming too much coffee, tea, alcohol & nicotine, etc.

If lifestyle changes such as eating healthy food, doing yoga, and limiting heat exposure do not work, it is recommended to visit a doctor. It is possible that excessive heat is a symptom of certain undiagnosed health conditions.
