How much can I walk during gestational diabetes?

If you have gestational diabetes, walking 2 or 3 times a day, everytime for 30 minutes will be beneficial to your health. Walking can keep your blood sugar levels in control during your pregnancy.

However, some women may find it difficult walking for 30 minutes two or three times a day during pregnancy because of morning sickness, headaches, or backache. You should start with walking for 5 minutes at a brisk pace and increase gradually. It is recommended that you consult your doctor who could provide proper guidelines for any medical considerations that are required to perform exercise safely during pregnancy.
