If you have Alzheimer’s disease, your doctor may ask you to visit the hospital every six months for regular checkup. If the condition degrades faster, the doctor may also recommend you to visit the hospital every month. As Alzheimer’s disease degrades the normal functioning of the brain, it is important for your doctor to change the prescribed medication from time to time.

Alzheimer’s disease does not have a cure. The doctor can only control the condition to help you live a longer and happy life. This makes Alzheimer’s disease the least recorded case among other terminal conditions like cancer, heart disease, HIV/AIDS and others.

Most of the people across the globe do not know if they have Alzheimer’s disease. However, even if they know, some people might not prefer to take the treatment because they feel it is expensive. Besides this, some medical professionals may confuse mild cognitive impairment with Alzheimer’s disease during the diagnosis.

There are many problems that make it difficult for medical professionals to judge Alzheimer’s disease as the underlying cause of death. The available global data on Alzheimer’s disease is made with statistical analysis. This data comprises less confirmed cases that include diagnosis before death and autopsy on people with symptoms.
