What are the options for healing lung cancer?
There is no natural or self-healing process for lung cancer. Lung cancer requires a combination of surgical, radiation and chemotherapeutic management, and the course of treatment depends on the stage of the tumour. However, implementing these measures will not completely cure lung cancer because a single residual cancerous cell may cause a relapse.

Lung cancer does not heal naturally or on its own. Only proper medical treatment can kill cancer cells and prevent them from spreading to other body parts. According to a research and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the medical treatment begins with the staging process, which determines how far cancer cells have spread in and from the lungs, lymph nodes and the rest of the body. For lung cancer, doctors often recommend surgery, radiation therapy, chemotherapy or a combination of these based on the tumour stage.

Doctors prescribe chemotherapy drugs in the form of pills or injections in the veins to prevent the multiplication and spread of cancer cells and to kill them. Even the successful implementation of these available medical treatments does not claim to cure lung cancer completely. It is because even one cancer cell within the body can multiply to relapse cancer.
