Not exactly. Angina is a symptom and not a health condition. You won’t die from angina but you can die from the health condition that is causing angina or the health complications that can happen if angina is left untreated. Reduced blood flow to the heart causes chest pain. This is called angina. Most of the time it is a sign of an underlying coronary heart disease that is causing reduced blood flow in the heart.

Angina pain is not life-threatening but a warning sign of a heart condition such as a heart attack. An attack of angina pain is an emergency, which you should not ignore. If you experience any kind of pain around your chest, you should consult doctor immediately. Untreated and unstable angina pain can be a sign of undiagnosed heart attack, irregular heart rhythm and even heart failure.

A healthy lifestyle and adequate rest can reduce the risk of angina and heart diseases.
