Yes, stress can affect oral health.

The most common problem with psychological stress is teeth clenching. This can happen without you realizing it. In severe form teeth clenching can aggravate to teeth grinding which results into Temporomandibular Joint Disorder (TMD). This also results in loss of teeth enamel and result into a problem of sensitive teeth. Dentists may suggest wearing mouth guards during sleeping to fight the loss of teeth in such conditions.

In some condition, a person suffering from mental or psychological stress may get averse to proper oral cleaning routine like brushing or flossing. This in turn can result into poor oral health like cavities.
