Puducherry, September 3, 2025 – In the latest NEET UG counselling 2025 update, the Centralised Admission Committee (CENTAC) has extended the deadline for Round 2 registration and course preference submission for CENTAC NEET 2025 counselling until September 12, 2025, 5:00 p.m., aligning with the rescheduled timeline issued by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC).
Simultaneously, candidates who were allotted seats in Round 1 can now withdraw or resign their seats without incurring a forfeiture fee, by submitting a Resignation Request Letter via their candidate dashboard. The last date to avail this option is September 11, 2025, 5:00 p.m.
According to the official notice issued on September 2, 2025, CENTAC clarified that the extension reflects changes in the state counselling schedule released by MCC.
Important Dates to Remember:
Round 2 registration and course preference submission: extended to September 12, 2025, 5:00 p.m.
Round 1 seat withdrawal without forfeiture: now open until September 11, 2025, 5:00 p.m.
These extensions give NEET-qualified candidates additional flexibility during the counselling process — particularly to reconsider earlier choices and optimise admission outcomes.
For full details, candidates should refer to the official CENTAC website or consult the updated NEET 2025 information brochure.
