When is a patient easy to treat?
Treating patients becomes easier when they have trust and confidence in our abilities, maintain an open mind, and demonstrate a willingness to embrace necessary changes and dedicate themselves to their recovery.
When is a patient difficult to treat?
It becomes challenging to treat patients when they rely heavily on the internet and are unwavering in their beliefs, place more trust on online information than in the knowledge of the medical professionals.
How helpful is it to the treatment course, if the patient is knowledgeable about the treatment procedure, benefits, risks etc.?
If patients have correct knowledge about the procedure and its effect, it makes easy for both the doctor as well as the patient. However, if they have wrong or half knowledge about the same, it will it extremely difficult to treat the patient.
How can a patient improve their knowledge about the treatment procedure?
Engaging in conversations with individuals who have experienced the same condition can greatly enhance your understanding of a treatment procedure and its various aspects. Likewise, reliable sources of medical information, whether online or otherwise, can provide valuable insights.
How does medical misinformation act as a problem in the overall treatment procedure?
Medical misinformation is a serious problem. I have seen people where they tried doing acupuncture on their own. This can pose significant dangers to a person’s health. There have been instances where patients have tragically lost their lives due to self-administered ozone therapy, without the supervision of a medical professional, and wrongly attributing their death to the therapy itself.
A few advice that you always give to your patients…
My only advice to people is to place trust in their doctors. They have your best interests at heart in every decision and action they take.
