What is your fitness regime?
Fitness is a journey, I practice it every day to feel happy and confident. I perform asanas and aerial yoga. I have gone through a tough time and I have a journey to overcome all the hurdles. A national-level gold medalist in swimming and then not being able to move after that bike accident, everything just faded away. The incident impacted me mentally, physically, and emotionally. My mother supported me to do yoga and here I am now. It made me strong and flexible. Yoga is magic for me and now it is not something that I follow in my routine; even my life is surrounded by it.

Creating good eating habits, making your brain, and body powerful is the wholesome concept of wellness. Yoga is not just physical exercise but a holistic wellness discipline.
What is your advice to someone who is planning to get into Yoga?
It is very important to check with your doctor about any physical limitations you may have or any specific practice you may need to avoid. Everybody, every human being is special. When you meet your teacher, go in with an open mind, and never hesitate to speak your brain. Most importantly, listen to your body because it will always tell you what’s right and what’s not for you. People usually force things or diet but you are not supposed to do it in that way. Understanding your body is the objective to live healthy and happy.
Is yoga a precaution against diseases, is it a cure or is it both?
Practicing Yoga comes with an abundance of benefits. Yoga isn’t the cure, Yoga is there to manage a lot of the health conditions we hear about today. To put it as an example, Yoga cannot control the flu virus and prevent it from entering your body, but if you have been practicing for a while, your body will be able to better handle the situation. Yoga is proactive guidance, it’s not a cure.
What is the bare minimum equipment one needs for yoga?
Your body and your Yoga mat. A thick towel that is anti-skid on the floor also works.
What is the recommended equipment that one needs?
Your Yoga mat, a water bottle, a pair of Yoga blocks, and a belt because they aid and help you with your asanas. Initially, you may feel not able to do everything but it is going to be okay. You just need to be determined about it, just stick to your plan.
How effective is yoga when one combats stress?
It is very effective, especially with your Pranayama or breath work which balances your mind and body. Yoga helps to kick in your parasympathetic nervous system which is your resting and relaxed state. It helps in balancing your hormones, your sleep cycle, and your holistic well-being. Yoga prevails over the idea of calming your brain by practicing pranayam. Breathing exercises, a balanced diet, and a healthy lifestyle are very crucial things to maintain lifelong. Yoga is undoubtedly making a revolutionizing difference in present scenarios.
How did Anshuka Yoga begin?
Yoga came into my life as a young child. My mother, being a Yoga teacher herself, would always make me do breath work when I was small without me realizing it. But I found my calling in Yoga only after it helped me recover from a near-fatal bike accident that left me temporarily bedridden for eight months. From not being able to walk on my own to healing mentally and physically because Yoga was magic. There was no looking back after that, I got certified and started my journey spreading the magic of Yoga.
How does it feel to be a celebrity yoga trainer?
Of course, it feels great! All my students are my stars! It just feels so gratifying to be able to help my students feel healthier, well, and stronger one session at a time.
Who is Anshuka Parwani outside the yoga studio?
Outside the studio, I am a foodie, an avid traveler, and an adrenaline junkie. I hold my relationships and friendships extremely close to my heart. If it wasn’t for Yoga, I am a commercial pilot so I would probably be flying high in the skies.
