What is the best thing you enjoy about treating patients?

I like to not only treat my patients but also to educate them about healthy lifestyle.

When is a patient easy to treat?

It is easy to treat the patients with whom a good relation is established.

When is a patient difficult to treat?

Lack of trust and rapport makes the job difficult for us.

How helpful is it to the treatment course, if the patient is knowledgeable about the treatment procedure, benefits, risks etc.?

It depends on the patient as they decide in what way they use their knowledge. The treatment procedure becomes difficult to carry out when patients rely more on baseless information from the internet rather than their doctor.

How can a patient improve their knowledge about the treatment procedure?

Patients should read authentic information on the internet and always discuss them with their doctors.

How medical misinformation act as a problem in the overall treatment procedure?

Medical misinformation is a very dangerous problem. Sometimes it can lead to irreversible damage to the patient’s health. In a lot of cases, the patients deny taking certain medicines prescribed by their doctors because they read some false information on the internet.

A few advice that you always give to your patients…

I always advice my patients to work on the root cause of most of their problems, i.e., their lifestyle.
