What is the best thing you enjoy about treating patients?
The best part of my job is the interaction that I have with my patients.
When is a patient easy to treat?
Patients who are cooperative and understanding towards the treatment procedure that I advice them are the easiest to work with.
When is a patient difficult to treat?
Our job as doctors gets tough when patients tend to not cooperate and as a result disturb the treatment process.
How helpful is it to the treatment course, if the patient is knowledgeable about the treatment procedure, benefits, risks etc.?
It is very helpful. If a patient knows about their condition and have a broader idea about their treatment procedure, it gets easier for us to explain it to them further.
How can a patient improve his knowledge about the treatment procedure?
People can refer to reliable sources on the internet to gain knowledge about their treatment procedure.
How medical misinformation act as a problem in the overall treatment procedure?
Medical misinformation is a very dangerous problem. In some cases, patients take wrong medicines because they read or heard about it from unreliable sources and believed them. Patients have tried to themselves on their own based on such misinformation during the COVID pandemic and have harmed themselves.
A few advice that you always give to your patients…
I always advice my patients to follow my instructions properly, so that the intended result of the treatment process is achieved.
