I enjoy making them feel comfortable and help them achieving their health goals.
When is a patient easy to treat?
Every patient is different and treating them accordingly makes the job easier. However, if I am able to build a good relationship with my patient, my job gets easier.
When is a patient difficult to treat?
Treating a patient becomes difficult when they have been taking consultations from different experts at the same time. A lot of patients tend to depend on unreliable sources on the internet to treat themselves without consulting with their doctors. This also makes the treatment process difficult.
How helpful is it to the treatment course, if the patient is knowledgeable about the treatment procedure, benefits, risks etc.?
It is definitely helpful. If the patients are better-informed, the implementation of the treatment plan gets easier.
How can a patient improve their knowledge about the treatment procedure?
People can gather information from reliable sources like blogs and articles written by doctors. They can also refer to other academic journals available on the internet.
How does medical misinformation act as a problem in the overall treatment procedure?
It is a serious problem. In today’s world, everybody gets a lot of information on the internet, but they do not check its authenticity. People then believe on such unreliable information and refuse to follow the treatment plans advised by their doctors. This leads to serious outcomes in a lot of cases.
A few advice that you always give to your patients…
I tell my patients that they shouldn’t just aim for immediate or temporary results. They should give their best towards living a healthy sustainable life. Patience and discipline are two very important things that they should have.
