When patients regularly come for follow-up and give correct information to their doctors and healthcare experts, it easy to treat them.
When is a patient difficult to treat?
The treatment procedure gets difficult when patients do not continue their regular treatment sessions. One cannot expect a miracle in a day or so. Patients need to listen to their doctors and healthcare experts and follow the treatment routine directed by them properly. When they fail to do that, it becomes very difficult to treat them.
How helpful it is to the treatment course, if the patient is knowledgeable about the treatment procedure, benefits, risks etc.?
Having some knowledge about the treatment may help the patients with understanding the instructions of their healthcare experts. However, half knowledge may also result in non-compliance of patients with their doctors.
How can a patient improve their knowledge about the treatment procedure?
It is imperative for patient to trust their doctors and research about the doctors they want to consult.
How medical misinformation act as a problem in the overall treatment procedure?
Medical misinformation can result in plenty of unexpected outcome. For example, a lot of people stop taking medicines or getting a treatment after they read or watch something on the internet. This may result in dire consequences for the patients.
A few advice that you always give to your patients
I advise my patients to eat on time, sleep enough, do exercise, drink plenty of water, meditation, and don’t follow vigorous diet plan. Gather information from reliable sources like medical articles and research. You can also have discussions with your medical professionals about your doubts and concerns.
