A social media and a highly circulated WhatsApp message claim that World Health Organization (WHO) is offering jobs and money to people who will fill up their details on a webpage whose link is given along. We fact-checked and found that the claim is false.
The Claim
“JOB AT WORLD HEALTH ORGANISATION Help us fight CORONAVIRUS by working from home – No experience required SMS sending JOB,” claims the post that has been published by multiple users on social media. Such posts can be seen here, and here. A screenshot is given below.

Is the job post and the website authentic?
No. The job post is not authentic. It is not an official job posting by the World Health Organization (WHO). The website has no apparent connection with WHO.
The message has been posted on Facebook at various points of time with each poster changing the end date of the vacancy.
The URLs of the website mentioned in the post also changed multiple times. Some URLs lead to dubious websites with a one-page forms asking the user to fill up personal details. Most of these websites stop working after few days as soon as they have been spotted. Many other posts lead to different private WhatsApp and Telegram groups asking users to join.
None of these are connected to any recruitment done by the World Health Organization.

Furtherstill, the career page of WHO website puts up a notice warning people to be aware of frauds who are pretending to offer jobs in name of WHO.
