A video on Facebook shows Elon Musk saying “There’s this stuff called shilajit, I think, and it’s supposed to be an anti-aging remedy, a hair loss remedy, and the most powerful source of energy for our body,” Musk appears to say in the video. “I get mine from a company called Natural Rems — they are amazing.”

Is Elon Musk endorsing a health remedy called Shilajit?
No evidence confirms Elon Musk is endorsing Shilajit for the brand Natural Rems. It seems that the claimed video is dubbed with a sound-alike clone copy of Elon Musk’s voice to make it appear he was touting shilajit. We are not commenting on whether shilajit has health benefits, but fact-checking the authenticity of the claimed video featuring Elon Musk.
We ran a quick Google reverse image search on a few screenshots of the claimed video and found that the video is altered intentionally to spread disinformation. The video has been taken from the TED2022 talk where Elon Musk talked about Twitter, Tesla, and how his brain works.
Besides this, we researched and found that the claimant of the video is Avonent Health. This page has shared the same claimed video with different scripts to make four different videos. We also found that all these videos show Elon Musk speaking, but with different scripts. From this evidence, it is clear that each video uses a cloned voice audio track that sounds like Elon Musk.
In another factcheck on the claimed video, it has been discussed that a TikTok account is promoting an app to alter videos. They have found similar videos like the claimed one around Elon Musk made on this app. We are unable to cross verify this, because TikTok app is banned in India.
