Several social media posts claim Germany has halted the administration of all covid vaccines. We fact-checked and found the claim to be False. Germany continues to use covid vaccines and should get new booster shots soon.
The Claim
The claim is based on a video released on BasisCamp.live, which showed a fictional exercise. We found a longer version of the video on BitChute that identified the speaker as Stephan Kohn, who is speaking German, but the English voice-over says he has been appointed as the interim president of the Robert Koch Institute (RKI), a German federal research agency responsible for disease monitoring and prevention.
The voice-over further said, “But I have to inform you as well that meanwhile, we have been receiving reports on side effects of the corona vaccinations, which have triggered the federal government to pass a moratorium, and that means the vaccinations are not recommended any longer”.
Referring to this video, several Twitter and Facebook users shared social media posts to claim Germany has halted the administration of all covid vaccines.

Has Germany halted administration of covid vaccines?
It does not seem so. No official statement by the federal government of Germany confirms the same.
We searched about the clip circulating online and found that it is not authentic but edited from a livestream of a simulation event named BasisCamp.live that occurred in Berlin in August 2021. People who participated in the event were role-playing and did not make any official statement on behalf of federal agencies with an aim to get implemented right away. The BasisCamp.live website explains that the goal of such a fictitious exercise is to measure the real risk in Germany around August 2021 and prepare a plan to avert the danger. BasisCamp.live has done a series of such fictitious exercises in the past.
