Fact Check
Is the news published on The Times of India?
No. The photo is clearly altered. Though the top header contains the logo of Times of India, it has no dates, location of the edition and other details that go in the header.
A closer observation also shows clear discrepancy in the fonts used and alignment of the text.
A quick search on The Times of India website does not show any such article in the digital version.
Can Chikoo cure Covid-19?
No. There is no research that suggests Chikoo can cure Covid-19.
No. authority institutions including the World Health Organization (WHO), Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW), or ICMR have listed Chikoo in the available treatments for COVID-19.
Like many fruits, Chikoo is loaded with dietary fibre, and vitamins A, B, and C and is also packed with antioxidants. This makes it a great addition in diet for boosting immunity. However, the fruit alone cannot cure Covid-19.
